Recently I had to have a few molars pulled due to an inflammation in my jaw. The inflammation should have resolved itself afterwards. Because that didn’t happen, I got a course of antibiotics. That course will end tomorrow, but the inflammation has not gone away. The pain has not gone away either. What now? I am a man of 50.

Such an inflammation is actually always caused by a (piece of a) tooth that is bad. When it’s pulled, the ignition should go away. Even without antibiotics. Most likely there is still something in the jaw that should not be there, for example more bad molars. So back to the dentist.
