The practitioners of SOS Médecins Grenoble have decided to suspend their home visits and to focus only on consultations at their center based in Echirolles, we learn in the Dauphiné.
The reason ? The announcement by the Regional Health Agency of the disappearance of the tax exemption for certain acts. “This represents a loss of 10 to 15% of our income” explain the doctors. “It really shows that our work is not recognized.”
78 visits per day
In 2017, the Grenoble SOS Médecins Center received more than 91,000 calls. 55,327 consultations were carried out in the office and 28,607 home visits (to the elderly, disabled or unable to travel) were carried out, for an average of 78 visits per day. Two of the members of the structure have just left it because of fatigue linked to the overload of work.
