Last year a new low was reached for the giro collection form: 4.4 million acceptance giro payments (compared to 14.5 million in 2017 and 300 million in 1995). iDEAL
The great alternative to the giro collection form, iDEAL, is logically gaining a lot of ground. Almost all matters that once had to be arranged with a giro collection form can now be arranged directly online with iDEAL. Think of paying fines on the CJIB website, but also bills and web payments. For example, transferring money to friends is also easy with apps like Tikkie. Last year 9.06 million iDEAL QR codes were scanned and the market share for iDEAL in online webshops increased from 69 percent to 71 percent.
