I have been suffering from my Achilles tendon on both feet and radiance in the calf for six months. I first had shockwave therapy and also bought heel soles. I have also had dry needling four times now. Nothing helps. When I get out of bed, I can barely walk and climb stairs. Then when I want to walk I have constant pain. I do exercises with an elastic band every day and I even have an Achilles sock for the night. That doesn’t help either.

Dear Gerry,
Achilles tendon complaints are often very difficult to get rid of quickly. Several factors influence this. Often a combination of therapies is carried out in which, on the one hand, the physiotherapist works with stretching and training of the Achilles tendon. In addition, the podiatrist also manufactures podiatric soles. The position of the foot is corrected during walking, so that there is less tension on the Achilles tendon and it has more chance to recover. However, these are often persistent complaints, and recovery is often a long-term story. It all depends on how long and how badly the tendon is injured. In addition, shockwave and dry needling are often applied, or a night splint is used to slightly stretch the tendon at night.
Hopefully you can do something with this answer.
With best regards,
