I have heel spurs and had insoles measured for this. I’ve had them for two weeks now, but it’s getting more and more painful to walk with those soles in my shoes. I now even walk without shoes and insoles, because I have the idea that the insoles put more pressure on the painful area. What now?

Anouk Jannes, podiatrist:
Hi Nicholas,
In principle, someone can get used to the soles for two weeks and after these two weeks someone should be able to walk on them without pain from the soles. The pain itself does not have to be over yet. The fact that the complaints are only getting worse and you feel that the soles are pressing exactly on this painful place is not a good sign. I would advise you to remove the soles from the shoes and schedule a check-up appointment with the person who fitted them. Perhaps a small adjustment will help a lot.
Yours sincerely,
Anouk Jannes
