Act before it gets out of hand
Getting angry is one of the primary emotions. It only gets bad when you are constantly and uncontrollably angry. Fortunately, you can avoid that. And so.
Everyone gets angry sometimes. That emotion normally passes quickly, but sometimes the anger remains, and gets bigger and bigger. You end up with an unbelievable anger that is difficult to control. That anger only eats up energy and usually doesn’t get you any further. The point is, you need to intervene before things get out of hand. How do you do that?
Laugh
No matter how angry you are, try to smile. Your facial expression plays an important role in how you feel, according to several scientific studies.
When you smile, you feel better. If you look angry, you will feel worse. Try to put a smile on your face and wait until you naturally become a little happier.
Let it go
A new therapy has emerged in Italy, the so-called ‘fuck it’ therapy. The core message is that you have to learn to let go of things by not paying too much attention to them.
You may be angry, but is it really important to continue? According to therapist John Parkin, you should just say “fuck it” whenever you’re angry, stressed, or worried, and then put it behind you. The raw power of ‘fuck it’ is important; ‘What do I care’ and ‘Boo’ have the same message, but lack the necessary power.
communicate
Anger is often the sum of all kinds of small annoyances that have been bottled up. Get to the root of your anger and communicate about little things that bother you.
Otherwise your anger will only get worse, until you explode at the slightest thing. Your reaction is then probably completely out of proportion, so that you will probably encounter misunderstanding.
Yoga and meditation
Yoga can also help, as can meditation. These activities oblige you to take time for yourself, to relax. Yoga and meditation challenge our negative thinking, which has often become automatic. In addition, yoga and meditation help you to forgive yourself.
