Italian luxury brand Gucci accepts Bitcoin as payment in several stores.
If you’ve been saving for a long time, it’s always nice when that moment has finally arrived. That moment when you can buy yourself something nice. Everyone enjoys a different release again. Shopping for clothes, accessories or something else at Gucci is an option, for example.
In addition to cash, your debit card and a credit card, you can pay with another new option. Gucci accepts Bitcoin as payment. A handful of stores in the United States work with this acceptance, notice Vogue Business†
This concerns flagship stores in, among others, Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles, Wooster Street in New York and a store in Las Vegas. The plan is to expand the service to other stores in North America.
Bitcoin is not the only cryptocurrency that Gucci accepts. Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Wrapped Bitcoin, Dogecoin, Shiba Inu and various stablecoins are also among the accepted currencies.
Gucci does not intend to keep the coins itself. All transactions are converted to regular currency, such as the dollar in this case. It is not known whether Gucci will also accept payments in Bitcoin and other crypto outside the United States. For now, the brand only seems to roll out in North America.
