Dr Jean-Paul Ortiz, president of the 1st union of liberal doctors, asks for an increase in the consultation of general practitioners to 25 euros.
Freshly elected at the head of the CSMF, the main liberal medicine union, Dr Jean-Paul Ortiz has just announced his priorities. And first and foremost, the opening of a price negotiation as quickly as possible, in order to bring the price of the consultation of the general practitioner from 23 euros to 25 euros. “This seems to us a minimum basis for consideration and valuation of this activity ”, declared the president of the CSMF. He also wants urgent negotiations in order to increase the remuneration of doctors during on-call treatment, in the evenings and at weekends.
In addition, the CSMF is opposed to the generalization of third-party payment. The government is indeed considering that this measure be applicable by 2017, which would allow all French people to no longer advance money to the general practitioner. The CSMF would prefer alternatives, such as deferred debit payments.
