Of course you can tell Windows to lock your PC in various ways, for example by means of a screensaver and associated password. An alternative outside of Windows is the program ScreenBlur. The nice thing about ScreenBlur is that the program does more than what you are used to from Windows. It hides windows and the taskbar and locks the keyboard – useful if the cat still trips over it. In addition, ScreenBlur can turn off the sound. The program also has all kinds of start-up parameters, for example to start the PC locked.
