Many studies have shown a difference in sensitivity in mental disorders between men and women. Researchers from Binghamton University (United States) looked into the question and conducted a survey of 563 people (48% men and 52% women). The results were published in the journal Nutritional Neuroscience.
The aim was to study the eating habits of both sexes and compare them to their mental health. As a result, men were more likely to stay “happy” until a nutritional deficiencyoccurs when women needed a healthy and balanced diet, such as mediterranean diet, to maintain a certain well-being.
A link with anxiety and depression
