Rich people have problems too. For example with the transport of their very expensive yacht, there is now a solution for that with the flying yacht.
Well, we’re really serious. Rich people also have problems just not everyday. They worry about getting their multi-million dollar yacht to its next sun-drenched destination. Preferably without sailing, because that is expensive and therefore the boat wears out.
Rich want a flying yacht
There is a solution for that. Work is in progress on a flying yacht by a Swiss company. The company is called AirYacht. The company is creating a hybrid vehicle that combines aviation and sailing with a home that can be placed anywhere on land for a visit. The AirYacht is part balloon and part residential – like a floating luxury hotel that you can fly and sail.
The aircraft part flies thanks to a detachable airship or hot air balloon powered by an air and helium propulsion system. The long-term goal is to run solely on hydrogen in the future. Sustainability comes first of course, also for the rich people of the world.
From airplane to luxury yacht
The yacht sails on the water on an electric motor. The airship can also tow it, so you won’t be delayed. The yacht includes a three-storey residence that can accommodate 12 people and includes 750 square meters of interior space, including a gym, sauna and swimming pool.
It is the brainchild of industrial engineer Matthieu Ozanne. The architecture was designed by Darnet Designs. The company describes its vision as follows: Innovation and technology are omnipresent in the AirYacht project. Eager for varied and complementary skills, the desire to get ahead with the best is inalienable.
But it only exists in concept, orders can be placed. The first delivery is planned for the end of 2026.
