The opportunity for the young woman to reveal that she is suffering from another disease: Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, as revealed by the Huffington Post. Recently, the singer Sia announced to be affected by this disease nicknamed “chewing gum”.
No more pain, hypersensitivity
This genetic disease attacks connective tissues which allow organs to be linked together, supported. Its action makes the skin thinner and weakens the body. The bones are less solid, the bleeding often more abundant, digestion difficult … The senses are disturbed, as a result: abnormally intense pain or hearing hypersensitivity can occur for example.
There is no cure for this disease. It is only suggested to patients to contain it by working on the posture, on compression garments. Or through physiotherapy to relieve pain, occupational therapy and oxygen therapy to reduce fatigue.
