You won’t have to wait long for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness to come to Disney+. The movie will be released very soon!
Normally it took six months or three quarters of a year for a film to appear on DVD/Bluray after it was shown in theaters. In 2022, the cards are shuffled very differently. Streaming services sometimes own the rights themselves and can therefore quickly bring a movie from the cinema to the TV in your living room.
We saw it before with the latest James Bond film No Time To Die. While you can still see the film in theaters, it was already streaming on Amazon prime. The same is now about to happen with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on Disney+.
The film is currently in theaters. However, Disney has announced that the title will be available on the streaming service very soon. The title will be available on Disney+ from June 22. At no extra cost, so just for service subscribers to see.
It’s not the first time Disney has opted for such a quick release. We’ve seen it before with Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Free Guy.
