The curfew at 11 p.m., restaurants and bars return to their interiors
The most symbolic measure that comes into effect on Wednesday is the shift in the curfew from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Two additional hours which will allow cinemas and theaters to find the evening sessions. This is accompanied by an increase in the public reception gauge from 35% to 65%, with a ceiling of 5,000 people.
Restaurants, bars and cafes will be able to accommodate customers in the dining room with a maximum gauge of 50% and for tables of no more than 6 people. The terraces will be able to regain their full filling capacity while continuing to respect the rule of 6 people per table maximum.
new openings
New places will reopen and be able to welcome the public. This concerns indoor sports establishments (sports halls, indoor swimming pools, gymnasiums, etc.), exhibitions and fairs, indoor leisure activities (bowling, games rooms, escape games, etc.) and casinos with contact activities ( cards, wheels, etc.). However, the latter cannot accommodate more than 50% of the authorized workforce. Regarding sports halls, a distance of two meters must be maintained between athletes.
For outdoor activities, the conditions are also becoming more flexible. Groups performing outdoor sports are increased from 10 to 25 people, and contact sports can resume. Seated open-air festivals and sports establishments – in particular stadiums – will be able to receive the public with, for the moment, a limit of 5,000 spectators. The fairgrounds are also reopening their doors, respecting a perimeter of 4 m² per customer.
Less strict distancing measures
Covered markets, shops and shopping centers are seeing distancing constraints decrease, going from 8 m² per customer to 4 m². They will therefore be able to accommodate more people, as will cultural establishments. In libraries and media libraries, it will be necessary to continue to leave one seat free in two.
In places of worship and those dedicated to ceremonies, including weddings and PACS, the rule will now be one free seat between two people against three currently. The party and multipurpose rooms will be able to accommodate 65% of the authorized workforce, with a ceiling of 5,000 people, in a seated configuration.
Telecommuting is no longer mandatory
This Wednesday also marks a new stage in the organization of work with the relaxation of telework. While this has been the rule until today, it is now companies that will have to determine a minimum number of telework days for each employee. Regarding students, the rule is that of continuity. Since May 19, and until the start of the school year in September, 50% of students are authorized to return to the site.
Finally, the rules for entering French territory are also relaxed. All fully vaccinated Europeans will be able to enter France on presentation of a paper vaccination certificate or health pass validated by the European Union. Regarding the other countries, it depends on the category to which they belong: green for those where there is no active circulation of the virus, orange for those where there is active circulation and red where the active circulation is doubled. presence of worrying variants. The list is available on the government website who updates it regularly.
