Happiness is a rather subjective feeling. If the criteria differ from one person to another, happiness has beneficial repercussions already demonstrated by researchers: longer life expectancy, fewer negative thoughtsand stress, which makes it more resistant to disease.
In short, happiness is the foot, and everyone should be entitled to it. However, as the UN Happiness Report published on Sunday, September 8 shows, there are countries where we are more predisposed to be happy. Of the 156 countries taken into account by the United Nations, we discover that the key to happiness is found on the side of Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Sweden and Canada, which corresponds to the top 6 of the happiest countries (in order of appearance).
At the antipodes of these six champions of happiness, at the very bottom of the list, we find the countries of sub-Saharan Africa: Rwanda, Burundi, the Central African Republic, Benin and Togo.
France is in 25th position, ahead of its German neighbor.

How do Scandinavians get so happy? This greater aptitude for well-being was measured in the light of specific criteria: GDP (gross domestic product) per capita, life expectancy in good health, friends on whom one can count, the feeling of being freedom to make life choices, generosity and the absence of corruption.
According to the report, taking care of mental health is a challenge to make humanity happier. Even in rich countries, only a third of people suffering from mental disorders (anxiety, depression, etc.) are treated effectively, the report points out.
