This Tuesday, December 15 marks the second stage in the relaxation of confinement, in particular with the implementation of the curfew. What trips are authorized?
The “curfew” certificate
It is, from this day, possible to move more freely on the French territory, because the exits are again authorized. It is therefore no longer necessary to complete an authorization to move from one region to another. The containment measures are lifted, but are replaced by a curfew, established at the national level. Only a few trips are allowed, provided they are justified. You must therefore have a curfew certificate for authorized exits between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. The reasons for travel have been updated by the government:
- to go or come back from their place of work, training or a business trip;
- medical consultations or care which cannot be carried out remotely as well as the purchase of medicines;
- compelling family reason, to provide assistance to vulnerable or insecure people or for childcare;
- travel for people with disabilities and their companions;
- travel to respond to a judicial or administrative summons;
- linked to rail or air transits, for long-distance journeys;
- a short walk, within a radius of one kilometer around your home or to walk your pet.
For Christmas Eve on December 24, it will be possible to travel without a certificate. As a reminder, it is recommended not to be more than 6 at the table, for festive meals at the end of the year.
Downloadable in digital format
The curfew certificate can be generated in digital format, on the “Tous AntiCovid” application or on the government website. The contact details are automatically filled in, you just have to check the reason and download the document. It must then be printed in paper format or simply present the QR code, in the event of a police check. Permanent proof of business or school trips are also available. Places open to the public, such as cinemas, theaters and museums, remain closed for a further 3 weeks, with the possibility of reopening on January 7, 2021. Gatherings are still prohibited on public roads. Failure to comply with the curfew results in a fine of € 135, increased to € 375 in the event of non-payment and can reach € 3,750 and 6 months’ imprisonment, after 3 offenses committed in 30 days.
