Bordeaux students are invited to be screened during the All Saints holidays, to prevent and quantify potential asymptomatic cases.
Bordeaux students invited to take the test
This massive and free screening campaign is led by the Agence Régionale de Santé Nouvelle-Aquitaine, carried out in conjunction with the University of Bordeaux and with the support of the CHU and the Exalab medical analysis laboratory. All students are encouraged to take the test. According to the ARS, “ the approach aims to sensitize the student population among whom the virus circulates actively and often unnoticed because asymptomatic “. But above all, this remains an awareness-raising operation: “ No cluster, but [de la] prevention before and after vacation-related mobility “Warns Samuel Maveyraud, professor of economics at the University of Bordeaux.
Where and when to get tested?
This operation begins this Wednesday, October 21 and ends on Friday, November 6. It will be held on the grounds of the Montaigne Montesquieu campus (avenue Léon-Duguit, on the ground floor of building C). Students, with their vital card, will be able to go there from Monday to Friday from 11 am to 3 pm. The RT-PCR virological test is 100% supported. Health students will also have the opportunity to be screened from November 26 and for a week on the Carreire campus, screening which will be done with the help of the CHU. The tests will be carried out by students trained in RT-PCR sampling. It is also an opportunity to participate in the national experimentation of antigenic tests carried out by the ARS.
