Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death of women in France and worldwide. Since 2021, the Act for the hearts of women has organized a screening tour thanks to a bus to improve the prevention of these pathologies. Tuesday March 4, 2025, the bus begins its Tour de France in Cannes. For three days, it will be installed at the Pantiero Esplanade, on the old port and will allow free screening, upon registration, for women in the sector.
Bus of the Heart of Women: Ten -step screening
Before the bus, women wishing to benefit from it must register for the health service of their municipality. On D -Day, screening lasts two hours and takes place in ten stages. On site, doctors, nurses, cardiologists, midwives and gynecologists are present. After the presentation of the system, each participant talks to a doctor. Then, the cardiovascular risk is analyzed thanks to various examinations, including a blood pressure measurement, and by identifying any symptoms. The so -called metabolic risk is also studied: weight and size measurements, dosage of blood sugar and lipids. This examination makes it possible to identify hypercholesterolemia or overweight, which can be risk factors. A gynecology interview is also carried out in order to identify possible risky situations. It is followed by addictology with the aim of identifying addictive behavior. Then, an electrocardiogram is carried out, and if necessary, an arterial screening by echo doppler. At the end of the process, a doctor synthesizes screening. Depending on situations, a letter can be sent to the attending physician, or additional appointments may be made. Before leaving, each woman receives a bag with brochures and documentation, as well as a self -sufficiency to make self -mode.
