Receiving a dose of vaccine is not easy. But thanks to websites such as “Quickly my dose” or Covidliste, making an appointment is easier and more accessible… for everyone.
Prime Minister Jean Castex announced on April 9 that the bar of 10 million people vaccinated had been crossed. Neither ahead nor behind on its objectives, France is now increasing the resources dedicated to vaccination. Pharmacies, vaccination centers, vaccinodromes, joint hospitals… Other means could emerge.
From now on, people aged 55 and over will be able to go to these vaccination sites. It is strongly recommended to make an appointment on the platforms referenced by the government: Doctolib, KelDoc, Maiia, Santé.fr. (It is also possible to make an appointment by contacting 0800 009 110, seven days a week, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.).
But major problems are currently being posed. First, between the phone numbers that do not answer, the rare slots available and major malfunctions, getting an appointment on the above platforms is a real obstacle course. Second, the waste of vaccine doses… And Faced with this madness, people from civil society have decided to take matters into their own hands by creating two new digital tools. The first, Covidliste, aims to fight against the waste of unused doses. The second, “quickly my dose” allows to find an appointment quickly for the French 55 years and over, in order to be administered a serum as quickly as possible and even during the day sometimes.
“Quickly my dose” the new reference tool to get an appointment quickly
Behind this name, the computer engineer Guillaume Rozier, also creator of the site CovidTracker has set itself the objective of making it easier for eligible French people to make appointments. The site works with the flagship sites for vaccination appointments: Doctolib, Keldoc, Maia, etc. All you have to do is enter the department of residence and all of the vaccination locations will be displayed. Guillaume Rozier, its founder, took care to display the number of doses available during the day. However, the site “quickly my dose” is aimed at priority people. That is to say, healthcare professionals, people with co-morbidities and people aged 55 and over.

Covidlist: the anti-waste and the dose for all
Unlike “Quickly My Dose”, this digital tool created by Data Scientists, Mathieu Ripert and Martin Daniel, in collaboration with Dr Antoine Roux from Foch Hospital, identifies unused doses from vaccination centers. Either by lack of candidates for the serum or by cancellation of an appointment. It is for this fairly obvious reason that vaccination is open to everyone, the doses must be injected very quickly. According to the site, more than 609,659 are registered on the platform and 695 people have already been put in touch with one of the 99 registered health centers and professionals. According to the creators of the website “When a vaccination center or registered practitioner finds that it will have vaccine doses left, it can create a campaign to find volunteers nearby, according to the age group it defines. An email and sms are sent to the corresponding registered volunteers. They have a limited time to be able to confirm their interest and availability ”. The people behind Covidliste also specify on their site that “The campaign ends when all the doses have found a taker”.

Initiatives welcomed by public authorities
“These are good initiatives“ the health ministry said. Behind these websites, the government appreciates the complementarity offered by these tools in the fight against Covid-19 “All of this is complementary. The idea is to serve the same objective, to protect people ”.
