After seven years of good and loyal service, the Citroën C1 city car will leave the scene for good at the end of the year. For its part, its Peugeot 108 twin will suffer the same fate. For its last stand, the C1 is reducing its range. We take stock of what remains on the program.
Production of the Citroën C1 will cease definitively in December 2021. However, sales of the double chevron city car will continue, from stock, at the start of 2022. This will mark the end of a saga started by the first version, which was marketed from 2005 to 2014, with in the meantime two restylings operated successively in 2008 and 2012. Three trim levels for a single engine
The Citroën C1 range is reduced to three trim levels. Called Live, Feel and Shine, they are associated with the unique 1.0 petrol three-cylinder VTi 72 hp engine through a five-speed manual gearbox. The model completely escapes the ecological penalty. The base price of the Citroën C1 is € 12,350. It climbs to 16 750 € on the Citroën C1 Airscape, which is distinguished by its convertible canvas roof. At the same time, in order to liven up the offer, since last April the Citroën C1 Millenium special series based on the Feel finish has been offered at a price of € 15,050.
