La Poste is launching stamps honoring legendary cinema vehicles, including the Citroën 2CV and Méhari. From September 25, the illustrations will be offered for sale in 80 participating cities. Where to find them? Argus tells you everything.

The Citroën 2CV and the Méhari in the spotlight

From September 25th, Citroën amateur philatelists will be able to rush into their post office. Two stamps are available. One highlights Louis de Funès’ famous green Mehari in the “Gendarme of Saint-Tropez “. The second pays homage to the Deuche which appeared in many films in France (“The Corniaud “, “Billy and Buddy”…) and abroad : ” Just for your eyes “,” Apocalypse Now “,” Full Metal Jacket “,” American Graffiti »… These illustrations, in limited edition, are available in stamp or block form.

And also: DB5, Gran Torino, R12 Gordini…
For those who prefer the Aston Martin DB5 (James Bond), the Renault 12 Gordini (L’emmerdeur), the Porsche 917 (Le Mans), the Ford Mustang (A man and a woman) or the Peugeot 403 Cabriolet (Le Magnifique), La Poste has also thought of you. Three sheets of 4 stamps are available (€ 3.20 per sheet). And for those who are really fans of movies and cars, a pack of 12 stamps with 12 postcards is available at € 26.50 (5,000 copies).


On sale at selected post offices
The stamps will be sold in preview on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 September 2021 in 80 cities in France (list of participating cities). From September 27, they will also be available in certain post offices or online, by correspondence or on the laposte.fr/boutique website.
