The iOS version of the Google Chrome browser gains access to an important feature, which is already available on other platforms.
This is a feature called Enhanced Safe Browsing. That functionality within Chrome shares the URL of malicious websites with Google’s servers.
That collection of URLs then ends up in a database of potentially dangerous websites, allowing other users to read a warning when they visit such a site.
Enhanced Safe Browsing to iPhone and iPad
The feature is already available on Android and desktop, but will also be coming to iPhone and iPad later this year. This happens when Apple releases the latest versions of iOS and iPadOS.
In addition, Google improves the built-in translation function of Google Chrome. The language model should be able to better determine which language you want to translate, making the translations more accurate.
You use the translation option when you visit a website in a foreign language. Google Chrome will then ask if the page(s) should be translated.
In addition, you can access important Chrome features (such as clear your history or open a private tab) by simply typing those options into the URL bar.
This option is already available on desktop and Android. In addition, the homepage shows the search bar, frequently visited websites and recently opened tabs.
