Known for the pawnshop, the Banque du Crédit Municipal de Paris (CMP) is launching a new low-interest, fixed-rate loan specifically dedicated to health spending.
An overpriced dental implant to install, a surgical intervention to be carried out urgently with large excess fees, glasses that must be changed … It is health care that undermines the pocketbook of the French. Many even have to forgo this costly care. For some, it is sometimes an urgent operation that causes them to enter the spiral of over-indebtedness.
According to a recent study, 27% of French people have already used a loan for treatment. Most often, it was a consumer credit with a rate of up to 19.6%.
Since January 2, 2013, the Banque du Crédit Municipal de Paris has offered a new health loan to combat this phenomenon of over-indebtedness.
Listen to Emmanuel Bouriez, Deputy Managing Director of CMP Banque: “ This loan is intended for financially vulnerable people, with medical costs which sometimes greatly exceed a month’s salary. “
Since yesterday, the banking institution of “My aunt” therefore offers loans ranging from 400 to 3,000 euros, without resorting to the deposit of objects as collateral, with a fixed and single rate of 2.95%. Repayments are spread over 6 to 36 months maximum.
Open to all, this credit can be granted within 48 hours to applicants after studying their particular situation, for example to finance the purchase of dental prostheses or even orthodontic or optical costs.
“It can be taken out either by phone or physically during an appointment at one of our agencies in Ile de France. They are the same advisers, whether on site or by phone, so they have the same analysis. Because it is also a know-how of our house, to assess the implementation of a loan without destabilizing the budget, ”adds Emmanuel Bourriez.
Listen to Emmanuel Bouriez : ” It is obviously necessary to justify with a quote that it is for a health expense. We also ask for a certain amount of personal information … “
Several dozen cases are currently being processed, the average amounts requested by customers are around 2,600 euros. In the majority of cases, these loan requests concern dental or optical care., but some requests are also formulated to pay excessively high fees for an urgent and essential intervention.
