About fifteen epidemiological studies have shown that a significant consumption of dairy products resulted in an increased risk of Prostate cancer, while other work suggests a protective role in colon cancer. The links between dairy products and cancer are therefore complex. On the one hand, there is a multitude of dairy products (milk, yogurt, cheese), more or less rich in calcium, fermented or not. On the other hand, each person has their own capacity for digesting lactose. In practice, here are the recommendations of Professor Michel Crépin:
For adults: 2 dairy products per day
For children: 3 to 4 dairy products per day
Favor fermented dairy products (yogurt, cheeses, faisselle) rather than milk.
