Studies have followed one another in favor of breastfeeding: the latest explains that breast milk protects infants from ENT infections.
Breast milk protects baby from infections
Texan researchers followed nearly 400 babies, and counted their small health problems, in particular ear infections, bronchitis, sinusitis, and other ENT infections. And what did they find? A clear correlation between the number of infections of this type and the method of infant feeding. Breastfed babies had significantly fewer ear or respiratory tract infections, between 0 and 1 year old, than their bottle-fed counterparts!
WHO recommends breastfeeding for up to 6 months
It is no coincidence that the WHO (World Health Organization) recommends breastfeeding babies until at least six months old, and then again until they are two years old, as part of the diversification. Breast milk contains a whole panoply of immune cells for the baby, which stimulate and strengthen its own immune system.
