This is why the French Blood Establishment (EFS) is appealing for end-of-year donations and organizing mobile blood drives throughout France. “Reserves are usually fragile in January, after the holiday season. But the needs are not decreasing: 10,000 donations are needed every day to meet the needs of the sick.“recalls the EFS. To donate blood, you just need to meet a few conditions:
– be between 18 and 70 years old
– weigh more than 50 kg
– to be in a good health
– have a hemoglobin level in the blood of at least 12.5%
