Assault and theft against a doctor in Seine-Saint-Denis. Two men stole a gold necklace and an ID card from the practitioner in his waiting room.
An increasingly commonplace aggression. This June 3, in Blanc-Mesnil (Seine-Saint-Denis), a doctor was attacked in the waiting room of his office, reports AFP. Two men broke into the room and stole a gold necklace and the doctor’s ID card.
The two attackers entered the doctor’s office around 8 a.m. Armed with a shotgun and a knife, they relieved the doctor of a collar in front of his patients, lying on the ground. More fear than harm for them: “No one was injured or hit,” said a police source to AFP.
The run was short-lived: warned by telephone, the Anti-Crime Brigade (BAC) intervened. The two suspects, one of age and the other a minor, were arrested as they left the cabinet.
These facts are unfortunately common: in 2013, 925 incident reports were reported to the Council of the Order of Physicians, which is 127 more than in 2012. Most of the time, it is a matter of dissatisfaction with the supported. But damage to property represents a third of incidents.
