According to health insurance figures, 80% of French people will one day suffer from low back pain. It must be said that back pain is the evil of the century, particularly because of our sedentary lifestyle. If physiotherapy sessions can be a satisfactory answer to certain back pains, there is another discipline, less known, but particularly adapted to these pains, the chiropractic (or chiropractic).
This is why, as part of World Spine Day (October 16), chiropractors are opening the doors of their practice, from October 14 to 19, to allow the public to discover their discipline for free. Chiropractic is essentially based on acts of spinal manipulation and joint mobilization. It is also the only discipline for which practitioners are authorized to perform spinal manipulations without medical advice.
Initiated by the Association française de chiropraxie (AFC), this week of mobilization aims to offer a personalized spinal analysis and assessment, to offer adapted spinal hygiene advice (specific exercises to relieve pain – preventive actions – lifestyle: diet, sleep, etc.) and to provide information on chiropractic aimed at understanding the real causes of back pain. From October 14 to 19, participating chiropractors will welcome the French to offer them free personalized spinal analysis, but also to provide them with appropriate advice.
Depending on the assessment carried out, professionals will offer patients specific exercises intended to relieve pain, as well as preventive exercises and gestures, and will inform them about the hygiene of life to adopt.
To benefit from this personalized and free assessment, simply consult the list of chiropractors participating in this operation on the AFC website, and to make an appointment during the mobilization week.
