Peut would be addictive and the damage is only noticeable later
Fuel is like drugs, Audi believes. Gasoline sniffers probably agree with this statement, but prefer to make the comparison with the more innocent ones Dutch Vegetables then the stuff Walter White cooks in the back of the camper. The German brand – which is fully committed to the electric car – believes that the recreational area is over and that we must stop with this bad addiction.
Fuel is like drugs and we should stop
Audi boss Markus Duesmann: ‘Coal, crude oil and natural gas have an effect on our society like drugs. They are easy to get, extremely addictive and we don’t notice the damage they do to us until the intoxication is over.’ The big boss calls for ‘be brave together’ and switch to electricity. That reports Süddeutsche Zeitung. The ruling is in line with Audi’s earlier announcement in which they say they have stopped developing (not selling) combustion engines.
But feel free to buy another gram at Audi
Audi, however, thinks it is a bad idea to cold turkey to stop the stuff. Although they have stopped developing new engines, they currently still offer a whole range of petrol stokers. Just yesterday they unveiled the new Audi R8 Performance RWD, with a naturally aspirated V10 engine. One of the most inefficient engines you can now buy new. It must be said, however, that Audi wants to sell only electric cars somewhere from 2030 and they already have a large range. The complete ban on new sales of fuel cars in Europe is planned for 2035.
