We knew that the Audi A6 e-tron concept was close to a future production version. The proof since the technical specifications have leaked in China. This 100% electric sedan will be marketed in the wake of the Q6 e-tron at the end of 2023.
Unveiled at the Shanghai Motor Show in April 2021, the “A6 e-tron” concept faithfully announces the 100% electric sedan which will be marketed in 2023. As proof, its technical characteristics have already been leaked in China, where it will also be produced.
Three different versions on the program
Note that the characteristics unveiled are those of the long version reserved for Asia and which will be produced at 150,000 units per year. Nevertheless, the three versions stated will hardly be different on the old continent:
- The first equipped with an 83 kWh battery with a range of 550 km. The 0 to 100 km / h will take 7.6 seconds.
- The second will be equipped with a 100 kWh battery for a range of 600 km and a 0 to 100 of 6.5 seconds.
- The last one will also benefit from a 100 kWh batteries but it will have an all-wheel drive, which implies two electric machines and a higher power. Autonomy is 600 km for a 0 to 100 in 5.7 seconds.
The powers are not communicated but at the Shanghai show, Audi announced 476 hp and 800 Nm of torque for the 4-wheel drive version. On the other hand, the three versions have a maximum speed restricted to 209 km / h.
A new platform with Porsche
About 4.96 m long, the A6 e-tron will benefit from the new PPE platform which will be inaugurated by the future electric Porsche Macan (code PO426) and its cousin, the Audi Q6 e-Tron. According to our information, the two SUVs will enter production in March 2023 (June 2023 for the Q6 e-tron Sportback) while that of the A6 e-tron will begin in August 2023. Thanks to an 800V architecture, the batteries can be recharged on fast terminals up to 270 kW, i.e. 80% full in 25 minutes. They will be provided by Chinese CATL.
