As the coronavirus pandemic wreaks havoc around the world, good stories provide hope. This was the case in Spain, at the Fundació Sant hospital, in Lleida (Catalonia), where on Tuesday March 31 a 93-year-old patient recovered from a Covid-19 infection. After spending several days in intensive care, the man, whose name did not filter, eventually recovered from the disease.
A guard of honor
At the Catalan hospital, the nursing staff made a guard of honor to the patient when he left. The recovery of this patient represents a sign of hope for thousands of patients across the country and has circulated widely on Spanish social networks. More than 22,000 patients have already recovered from this disease in Spain. This patient is not the first of an advanced age to overcome Covid-19, two centenarians have already succeeded in overcoming the virus.
