Whoops, Apple has provided information that accidentally reveals that two new products are coming.
Apple has traditionally been very reluctant to announce new products. They wait until the last minute so that they can reveal the product in one go. Of course they do that at their own event. But it seems that Apple has opted for a different strategy or that she accidentally leaked something.
New products from Apple
That message was in an email from AppleUnboxed. It’s an all-inclusive Apple guide to what’s going on with the company. Many subscribers receive this email. Normally this contains new functions, news items and comparison pieces. But new data shows that a new iPhone and a new iPad are coming. Apple has provided information that is as opaque as possible, yet accidentally confirmed that these products are a phone and a tablet that have not been seen before.
This conclusion can be drawn by looking in a new database. It contains all model numbers and new ones have been added. The database lists model numbers, the models are simply described as A2595, A2783 and A2784. These will likely indicate different versions, perhaps based on storage levels or on different models.
Codes
But, how do we know for sure that these codes refer to a new iPhone and iPad? EEC details list new Apple devices to be launched soon. At least, so it seems. So, since the listing connects the devices with a particular operating system, iOS 15, these are new products that are not there yet.
The database also references new iPad models. Again, we know this because it’s called iPadOS – and this could be the expected iPad Air. There are eight reference numbers here, perhaps referring to, for example, the needs of different markets and different storage capacities.
