The organization of the vaccination campaign is accelerating in France. The RNA vaccine from Pfizer and BioNtech will be the first to be administered. In the North of France, seven hospitals have been selected to store the doses.
Equip yourself with a “super-freezer”
To keep the vaccine developed by the American-German duo, a real logistical challenge must be taken up. Indeed, the serum must be maintained at polar temperatures, ie at -80 °. The cold chain must never be interrupted. For the past few weeks, the flow and stock management agents, in collaboration with scientists and health professionals, have been busy coordinating the delivery of vaccines in the various countries, and in particular in France, where vaccination is going. soon to start. This is how the ARS (Regional Health Agency) selected seven hospitals to put the vaccines in a safe place. Each region will be equipped with these special cooling devices, capable of storing 300,000 doses. It is the Lille University Hospital that will have this privilege, since it was selected to be provided with it. The “super-freezer” has already arrived at its destination. Concerning the six other health establishments, it is the University Hospital of Amiens as well as the hospitals of Arras, Beauvais, Calais, Saint-Quentin and Valenciennes which will be equipped with freezers authorized to contain 100,000 doses.
Vaccines stored in places unknown to the general public
Only certain designated personnel will be aware of the precise location of the dose storage. Thus, the safety of the serum will be guaranteed. The various hospitals are the starting points for deliveries planned for the five departments of Hauts-de-France. As Professor Pascal Odou, the head of the Lille University Hospital Institute of Pharmacy, indicates, “ The doses will be distributed evenly over the territory ” and “We will have protections to be able to handle the doses “.
A vaccination campaign being organized in France

Europe indeed wishes to be coordinated to carry out this vaccination campaign.
