“CURE and not LOSE WEIGHT”
“In the first photo, I was in the middle of a TCA crisis. I was trying very hard to lose weight, because I gave a lot of importance to people’s comments about my appearance. It destroyed me , to see that I was reduced to my weight. It made me feverish, physically AND mentally. I had never felt so bad about myself than at this moment, so I decided to try to to detach myself from all that, from these words, these messages, these comments, these insults. It took me a long time, really”, says Enjoy Phoenix, which can be seen during his participation in the M6 show The Best Pastry Chefwhich she won.

“Today, I think it would be hypocritical to say that I don’t care about it anymore, but I take this: do things for you. At this point in 2018, I didn’t need that I’m reminded of my physique, I was right in my TCA, so I knew it. When I saw this photo, I had a click, I told myself that I had to HEAL and not LEAN. J ‘took control of my sanity, left the bad people behind, let go, and moved on,’ testifies the influencer. Today, “I’m still on the edge, but I know that most of the healing is done (…). The Marie of 2018 is just as valuable as the Marie of 2021. She was just unaware of the impact words had on her and her TCAs. I wish you all to understand the origin of your sorrows, and to heal it”, concludes star of social networks, who also recently revealed to have been the victim of a sexual assault when she was a teenager.
900,000 people in France suffer from eating disorders
Anorexia, bulimia and hyperphagia affect around 900,000 people in France, figures greatly increased by the Covid-19 crisis. “These are diseases that have individual, family and social repercussions. They also generate physical and psychological complications that are sometimes severe”, explains the French Federation Anorexia Bulimia (FFAB).
“Half of the people affected in France will never have access to specialized care, for lack of effective identification and a sufficient care offer”, laments the association. She adds : “access to care and management are too often delayed, even though the outcome depends on early and appropriate therapeutic intervention”.
