An investigation has suggested that the Covid-19 outbreak may have stemmed from a “research-related incident” at a lab in Wuhan, China. It is in any case the most probable source according to an expert in official speech who analyzed the reports of the Chinese government.
- In France, this Thursday, November 3, more than 42,000 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 24 hours.
- As of October 31, 2022, the incidence rate was 253.9.
“Serious situation”, “serious hazards”, “serious consequences”…. Impossible to find the facts clearly written in the official reports, everything is implied… This is why Toy Reid, an American diplomat specializing in China – and therefore fluent in Chinese – deciphered all the documents relating to the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, when this virus appeared.
An incident in a laboratory in Wuhan, China
In detail, these are reports of the Chinese Communist Party published every week and which are supposed to prove that the party achieves its goals. But the vocabulary used is generally difficult for the population to understand.
This is why the United States Senate requested an investigation into these official documents which resulted in a interim report published this Thursday, November 3. In it, Toy Reid and his team of investigators, through their analysis of the texts, believe that the Covid-19 pandemic would be “more likely than not the result of a research incident” in a laboratory in Wuhan, China.
Between the Lines, Sanctions and Directives Taken by the Communist Party
“Although [nous ayons pris] various preventive and protective measures, it is nevertheless necessary that laboratory personnel operate with great caution to avoid operating errors that can be dangerous. (…) Whenever this happened, Zhengdian Lab Party branch members always rushed to the front line and took concrete action.”. According to Toy Reid, these excerpts refer to an ongoing issue at the Wuhan lab and disciplinary action by the Party, which allegedly took “concrete measures”.
Another clue according to the expert: Dr. Ji Changzheng would have been sent by the party to the laboratory. Officially, the reason for this visit was a training session… A pretext according to the report, which points out that Dr. Ji Changzheng only met with the senior members of the laboratory and gave important oral advice and written instructions coming from (or may come from depending on the site Pro Publica) of Xi Jinping and Li Keqiang, the former Chinese Premier. Dr. Ji Changzheng would have mentioned in particular “numerous cases of domestic and foreign security incidents in recent years”, again referring to “hidden dangers” which “have revealed the complex and serious situation currently facing the work of [bio]security“.
China refuses investigation into Wuhan lab
The investigative site Pro Publica and Vanity Fair media obtained the full report, interviewed Toy Reid and submitted its analysis to three independent experts who verified its findings. Result: the Senate investigation and that of the journalists generally reached the same conclusions. According to them, the Covid-19 virus could have escaped from the laboratory because of an incident related to scientific research.
They also point out that China’s attempts to stop or dismantle investigations into the Wuhan lab damage its credibility. In particular, the government refused to allow an independent team of experts to come to the Wuhan laboratory to investigate the origins of the virus.
