The fourth edition of Macaron Day will take place on Friday March 20. For the occasion, the boutiques of pastry chef Pierre Hermé in Paris will offer free tastings of macaroons. This year, the red macaron – a macaroon created especially for Macaron Day, by Pierre Hermé will taste like chocolate and foie gras. The product will be sold for one symbolic euro, the proceeds of which will be donated to the Federation of Orphan Diseases.
The 100 best pastry chefs in the world gathered within the Relais Desserts association have joined in this operation, such as Frédéric Cassel, the caterers Dalloyau, Christophe Roussel and Jean-Paul Hévin. The respective shops of these professionals will also offer free macaron tastings.
During this Macaron Day, Pierre Hermé will be signing boxes of 35 macaroons, bringing together the chef’s various macaron creations at the Pierre Hermé Macarons & Chocolates store at the PublicisDrugstore in Paris.
