Tristan is 21 years old; for 10 years, he has suffered from a meningioma, that is to say a brain tumor. On December 14, 2021, Tristan was to be operated on at the Hospices Civils de Lyon. Yes, but here it is: because of the Covid-19 epidemic, his intervention was deprogrammed … for the third time.

There are a lot of people in intensive care. There are sick people, you have to take that into account. But there is a lack of space which means that Tristan cannot be operated.“Because after his operation, Tristan will need a bed in intensive care; however, with the Covid-19, they are all occupied.
“No one should stay by the wayside”

“No one should stay by the wayside, added his mother. We will end up with another problem in the future, with all these pathologies not treated in time.“
The new appointment has been set for February 11, 2022. Until then, Tristan will have to multiply MRI exams in order to monitor the progress of the disease: “there is always a little fear inside but, according to my neurosurgeon, in view of the evolution of the tumor, there is, a priori, no more risk than if I had been operated on December 14“. We cross fingers…
