BMW celebrates the 50th anniversary of the M division with an optional logo
Nice mnemonic to start with. If you ever have to draw the BMW logo (which is originally not a propeller!) and you don’t know which square is blue: the square near BMW’s B must be blue. The square under the W of BMW must be white. Also with this new retro logo from BMW, which can be ordered on new BMW M models from the end of January. If you find the emblem in the nose a bit too intense, you can also go for the hub caps in the rims. The logo is part of the party BMW is throwing to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the M division.
The cost of the logo is not yet known. In addition to the optional retro logo, BMW also gets some old colors from the stable. You will soon be able to order an M model in the colors Dakar Yellow, Fire Orange, Daytona Violet, Macao Blue, Imolarot or Frozen Marina Bay Blue. BMW also already reveals that the M3 Touring will come sometime next year, along with an even more spectacular version of the M4. Work is also underway on the successor to the M2.
“With the historic BMW Motorsport decal, we are sharing our anniversary of BMW M with the fans of the brand,” says Frank van Meel, one of the top honchos at BMW M. unique product highlights and exciting performance. The M has long been regarded as the most powerful letter in the world and in our anniversary year, the letter is more powerful than ever before.’
