To denounce the presence of pesticides on fruits and vegetables, the NGO distributed juice to several editorial staff. The fermentation caused the bottles to explode.
The fruits sold by some supermarkets would be full of pesticides according to Greenpeace, but the NGO forgot that the plants in question were not yet provided with preservatives. And these are the journalists of several editors – including Why actor – who paid the price, discovering this Monday their offices soiled with suspicious to say the least. Back on what has been agitating social networks since the beginning of the morning, and which could well become the “juice gate”.
Greenpeace launched a new communication campaign at the end of last week to raise awareness among journalists in the science, health and environment sections of the presence of pesticides in many fruits and vegetables sold by the Leclerc brand. The NGO thus delivered – by courier – charming little kraft paper bags containing… a “multipesticide juice”! Equipped with a sticker “not to consume” and a skull (!), The bottle also included a small text reminding the harmful effects of pesticides on health.
The simple laws of chemistry …
Thiabendazole, oxamyl, endosulfan, chlorpyrifos: so many substances that Greenpeace explains in a prospectus that they pollute our juices, with a cocktail effect in products combining several fruits. If they seem experts in organic chemistry, the communication officers of the NGO seem to have dried up on fermentation. Unless they consume only pasteurized products or with preservatives?
Stayed in the news all weekend, the famous “multi-pesticide” juices have indeed fermented, producing a sufficient quantity of gas to simply explode the bottles, and project their foul-smelling contents several meters. Several journalists posted photos of the damage on social networks, triggering many reactions. While some humorously denounce “vegan bombs”, others suggest that Greenpeace “provide the demonstrations”. Our colleague from allodocteurs.fr evokes the ” melon-tov cocktail “…

General public distribution planned
Contacted by Why actor, the communications officer of Greenpeace could only deplore the “dumpling”. The NGO has already committed to paying the cleaning and pressing costs. But the situation is more complicated for the journalists themselves have lost important documents.
However, we can rejoice that journalists have “wiped the plaster” of this communication campaign. The Greenpeace flyer indeed stipulates that it was planned to go, from the end of June, and over three weekends “to meet consumers in order to inform them about Leclerc’s practices, by distributing bottles. of multi-pesticide juice ”! Hopefully by then, Greenpeace will have revised its chemistry classes …
