Little by little, utilities are catching up on the security delay that they used to face with passenger cars. From the 1er September, everyone must therefore be equipped with a seat belt buckle warning light in all seating positions. It is a European obligation, like the ESP anti-skidding, for example, or the future black boxes which are controversial. Peugeot has therefore decided to add this indicator light as standard on its Partner from the 1er June, regardless of the body chosen. The deep cab variants go even further, now receiving passenger and thorax airbags at no extra charge. Until now, these precious inflatable cushions were the subject of an option at 350 € HT.
A price increase of € 600 to € 800 excl.
Unfortunately, the Leo doesn’t really give these appreciable novelties a gift. The prices of the Partner Van all increase by € 600 excl. On the Van versions, the heated seat option also becomes more expensive, going from 200 to 400 € HT. There are even some small regressions, such as the blind spot monitoring which loses its active function or the passenger seat which can no longer be adjustable, except on examples with deep cabin. A loss especially for the Asphalt finish, which had this equipment as standard.
More affordable than the new Kangoo
By now starting at € 19,100 excluding VAT with the PureTech 110, the Partner remains more affordable than the new Kangoo, offered from € 20,700 excluding VAT for the moment with the TCe 100. It is true that the utility Renault has chosen to impose the practical access without central upright on the right side “Open sesame by Renault” during its first months of marketing, which generates an additional cost of around € 1,000 excluding tax.
