But it is often ignored that a very large number of products from the food industry are also rich in sugars. White sugar but also maltose, dextrose without forgetting the glucose-fructose syrup. However, sugar is responsible for a large number of metabolic diseases, like diabetes.

This is why the magazine 60 millions de consommateurs, in association with the French Federation of Diabetics, made the stalking hidden sugars in processed foods. 192 foods were scrutinized. We learn that crackers are rich in glucose fructose syrup, that low-fat sauces are light in fat but that they contain twice as much sugar as standard sauces or that a frozen half-pizza contains the equivalent of 2.6 lumps of sugar.
We discover that by composing a meal based on industrial foods, the daily limit of 50g of sugar per day recommended by the World Health Organization is quickly outdated.
