I have had moles from my thirties. In the last ten years there have been more; 80 percent is on my back. Can this hurt? I am a man and my age is 67 years.

Over the years, almost every white man or woman’s skin becomes more blotchy. This is normal and does not mean that the chance of a melanoma (skin cancer) increases. It is helpful if someone occasionally looks at your back or moles look suspicious or change in shape, color or texture.
If you do not have a partner (anymore), it is useful to have your GP take a look. The chance of getting a melanoma is not very high: about 10 per 100,000 per year. So nothing to lose sleep over.
