Thus in this study, it appears that sedentary behavior is associated with a 24% increased risk of developing colon cancer, 32% endometrial cancer, and 21% lung cancer. For example, people who watched television the most had a 54% higher risk of developing colon cancer compared to those who watched it the least and a 66% higher risk of endometrial cancer. .
