I read on the internet that food cooked in the microwave is harmful to you. Due to the acceleration of the molecules, the DNA of the food would be changed and the body would no longer recognize and break it down. What is true of this?

An microwave heat foodstuffs with invisible radiation. This sets moisture particles in the food in motion and friction releases heat. These so-called microwaves are not radioactive and harmless. Only with very high doses you could get health problems, but this never occurs with normal use of the microwave.
Safe
Food heated in the microwave is also safe. Scientific research into microwave cooking shows that there is no reason to worry about possible harmful substances or the loss of nutritional value through the microwave. Heating food in the microwave is therefore just as safe as heating it in a pan or in the oven.
Be careful if you have a crack in the glass door of the microwave or if the door no longer closes properly. Radiation can then leak out and it is better to dispose of the device.
Ready
Or a ready meals for the microwave fits in a healthy diet depends on the composition. Many ready-made meals contain little vegetables and fiber. Some meals are high in saturated fat and salt. Sometimes it is a small portion, which quickly makes you hungry again.
Cook
But if you cook yourself in the microwave, there are also advantages: everything that can be boiled, steamed or poached can also be cooked in the microwave with less or without moisture. This means that water-soluble vitamins, such as vitamin C, are optimally preserved.
The microwave is also very suitable for ‘lean’ cooking, with little or no fat. In addition, less salt is needed, because the salt remains in the dish and does not soak into the cooking liquid.
