The conclusions of the study revealed that a lover of literature lived on average 23 months longer than an individual who never reads. Half an hour of reading a day reduces the risk of dying by 23% over a period of 12 years.
“People who report reading little, even half an hour a day, had a significant survival advantage over those who did not read,” says study author Professor Becca Levy. quoted by the Daily Mail.
