This is what Google will come along to during their conference

Google’s annual developer extravaganza, Google I/O, is almost here. The conference starts on May 11, these are the expectations.

Everybody can attend the conference. This is because it will be back online. That said, the opening keynote usually features the most relevant announcements for regular consumers, so that’s the part you’d want to see. It is expected that there will be a lot of exciting news, including a lot of hardware.

Of course they are going to talk about the operating system. It’s no surprise that Android 13 is coming; after all, there is a new version every year and enterprising users can already test the operating system in its beta form. Until now, this test version was not really exciting. It includes some minor UI tweaks and additional customization options for Google’s Material You design language, but so far it doesn’t look drastically different from Android 12.

Perhaps the most useful new daily feature is a new clipboard that allows you to track and edit copied text and images before pasting. Google is also trying to streamline notifications by proactively asking you if you want to keep seeing notifications from different applications.

Updates

We haven’t heard any concrete rumors about the Google Assistant for I/O 2022 yet, but Google always has something to say about its voice AI during the event. You can expect the same this year. Likewise, you can expect updates to Google’s various products, such as Maps, Photos, and Drive.

The Pixel Watch will also be discussed. There have been plenty of leaks in the past few weeks, suggesting that the device will at least be announced soon. The Pixel Watch will likely have a round design with curved edges and silicone straps; it looks a bit like a mythical round Apple Watch.
