Elon Musk is working on all kinds of technical developments. He is of course the most famous of Tesla and SpaceX. But the best man is also busy making underground tunnels and developing software to control robots. Robots that he believes will be an important part of our future.
In fact, the entrepreneur makes an interesting prediction. Optimus, Tesla’s robot, will be worth more than the cars the brand now produces. The robotic technology will be worth even more than FSD, Musk said.
That abbreviation stands for Full Self Driving, Tesla’s self-driving car hardware and software.
Tesla Optimus
Tesla first introduced Optimus to the world in August 2021. People then reacted with surprise to this Tesla robot. The thing had taken on a human appearance and Musk was already talking about human applications then.
Optimus had to take over tasks from people. Running errands, maybe cleaning or doing a yard job. All kinds of things that you and I don’t really feel like, this robot has to take over from you. The robot’s brain is a supercomputer and Tesla’s own neurological technology.
The Tesla Optimus should be ready for production in 2023. And with Musk’s statements, it looks like he’s planning big things with his robots.
