For people at risk or suffering from a long-term condition whose follow-up was sometimes neglected during confinement, a medical consultation fully covered by specific health insurance has been set up.
- The objective is to ensure the restoration of continuity of care for people at risk or suffering from a long-term condition.
- This will make it possible to assess the effects of confinement on the health of the patients concerned and to advise those at risk.
To support deconfinement, a decree provides for the creation of a specific medical consultation fully covered by health insurance. The objective is to ensure the restoration of continuity of care for people at risk or suffering from a long-term condition and to help them live the deconfinement phase as well as possible.
Evaluate and advise
This medical consultation is called “assessment and vigilance”. The latter, listed at 46 euros for the doctors who carry it out, will be offered to patients at risk or those suffering from a long-term condition who could not be followed in consultation during the confinement period. Its objective is twofold. The first step is to assess the effects of confinement on the health of the patients concerned and to ensure the continuity of care. Then, it makes it possible to advise people, according to their fragilities and pathologies, on the protective measures to be adopted in the context of deconfinement.
The people concerned by this consultation were specified in an opinion issued by the High Council for Public Health on March 31, and updated on April 20. “These are people aged over 65; people affected by conditions such as cardiovascular history, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, chronic renal failure on dialysis, progressive cancer under treatment, obesity, immunosuppression; pregnant women in the third trimester of pregnancy”, can we read in this opinion.
