In 2022, the Jeep Renegade adds a new micro-hybrid engine (130 hp) to its catalog. He also takes the opportunity to increase his prices. The urban SUV is 750 € more expensive than in December, in gasoline as in diesel. The price of the 4xe plug-in hybrid version increases by €1,100.
New in the Renegade range. Jeep is taking advantage of the start of the year to introduce a new 130 hp micro-hybrid gasoline engine into the catalog. At the same time, the manufacturer is revising the price of existing engines upwards. Count 750 € more for the petrol (120 hp) and diesel (130 hp) models. 4xe plug-in hybrids are not left out. The price increases by €1,100 on all versions (190 or 240 hp) for an entry ticket now set at €41,400.
New micro-hybrid engine
For 2022, the Jeep Renegade welcomes a new gasoline engine equipped with a micro-hybridization. This 130 hp 1.5 turbo block, which will also soon be found under the hood of the restyled Fiat 500X, comes automatically with a robotic dual-clutch seven-speed gearbox. Thus equipped, the SUV sees its CO emissions2 drop between 130 and 139 g/km, where the classic 120 hp petrol engine rejects between 144 and 154 g/km. The ecological penalty decreases accordingly. Count between 100 and 280 € depending on the finish chosen (450 to 1,386 € on gasoline).
The urban SUV is also still available with a 130 hp 1.6 diesel. Traditional thermal blocks are mated to a six-speed manual transmission and offered in traction only. Customers wishing to benefit from all-wheel drive will have to turn to the “4xe” plug-in hybrid variants. Two power levels from the same 1.3 turbo block are offered: 190 and 240 hp.
