Leaves, flowers, fruits, roots, stems: all parts of plants (each with its specific properties) are found in Ayurvedic infusions.
A detox herbal tea
This infusion gently removes toxins, improves metabolism and stimulates the body. It is suitable for all doshas and all ages.
- Ingredients: 1 vs. grated fresh ginger (or powder) – 1 lemon (zest) – 1 orange (zest) – 1 lemongrass stick (or 1 teaspoon canned lemongrass).
- The preparation : bring 1 liter of water to a boil. Add all the ingredients and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool.
A stimulating herbal tea
For lazy digestive systems, this herbal tea is an excellent stimulant.
- Ingredients : 1 pinch of cayenne pepper – 2 handfuls of minced fresh ginger root – 2 tbsp. of Sucanat (or raw sugar) – 1/2 lemon (juice) – 1 to 2 tbsp. teaspoon salt (preferably rock)
- The preparation : bring 1 liter of water to a boil. Add all the ingredients (except the lemon juice) and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool. Add the lemon juice. Pour the drink into a vacuum bottle and consume throughout the day.
An invigorating herbal tea
It relieves gastric and hepatic problems and strengthens the immune system. Rosemary relieves digestive and respiratory disorders. It is also a good heart tonic. Ginger is an excellent tonic in the morning.
- Ingredients : 4 tbsp. fresh (or dry) rosemary – 4 tsp. grated fresh ginger or 4 pinches of dry ginger.
- Preparation: bring 1 l of water to a boil. Add all the ingredients and simmer for 20 minutes.
